How to Junk Your Car With No Title in Arizona
Step 1: Check the title status

Step 3: Special Situations
Owner Affidavit (Form 46-4421):
If your vehicle is 12 years old or older, and does not exceed a value of $1200, it can be junked with the Owner Affidavit (Form 46-4421) instead of a title.
Once a car is junked this way, it’s retired for good. The vehicle can’t be titled or registered in Arizona again. It can only go for parts or scrap, which is the whole point of the affidavit route. That’s your protection too: the car can’t resurface on the road or come back to your name later.
Note: You will also need to provide an odometer disclosure statement. Failure to do so could lead to fines and/or imprisonment.
If the sale value of the vehicle exceeds $1200, you’ll need a title to junk it. Follow the steps below to obtain a new or duplicate title.

Step 5: Junk an abandoned vehicle
In Arizona, you can remove an abandoned vehicle by reporting it to your local law enforcement’s non-emergency line, or contacting a towing company yourself.
If the registered owner does not claim the abandoned vehicle after it’s been towed, they will need to pay an Abandoned Vehicle Processing Fee to cover towing, storage, and processing costs.
Once the vehicle has remained unclaimed for 30 days and been towed, you can request ownership using the Abandoned Vehicle Application form if you wish to keep it.
